The company dates back to 1964, with its origins in the Italian town of Cicognara, Mantova. Under his eponymous brand, Romano Seletti imported homeware from the East and sold it on in local markets. When his 17-year-old son, Stefano, joined the firm in 1987, they shifted the label's focus towards quirky, playful pieces that reflected the craze for pop art. Still at the helm today, Stefano aims to blend artwork with everyday use. The result? Fun and functional Seletti tableware that won't go unnoticed. We're talking mismatched motifs, cut-out photographic prints and irreverent slogans splashed onto durable cork with a lacquered finish.
